The group of people who are waiting to join a particular APA. Waitlists seem to be a thing of the past, but you never know... Waitlist members don't generally pay fees, but don't get the mailings either. You're just waiting for someone else to drop out.

A future GRS feature under which Registrars may offer Registrants the ability to register on a waiting list for a Global I-Name that has already been registered. Rather than deny the student admission from the start, a college may put him or her on a wait list. If the college does not fill all spaces from its first round of acceptances, it will offer admission to some of the students on the wait list.
When an establishment has reached capacity for seating guests, a wait list is established on which the name of guests waiting for tables is recorded in a “first come, first serve” manner. As seats become available, guest's names are called in order and crossed off the list as they are seated.
It is not the same as being deferred; it means that if some accepted students choose to go elsewhere, you will be admitted. However, waiting for the decision may mean waiting longer than some students would like; many choose to deposit money with another school first.
