A learning strategy used to aid students in organizing information; concept maps take a variety of forms suited to the type of information and activity.
A type of graphic organizer useful at all stages of a learning activity to collect and put information in order. The teacher may begin by writing a word or idea in the center. Students contribute what they know about it, sorting input into categories that radiate from center. Lines between words and ideas show connections.
