File Transfer Access and Management. An ISO standard for that part of the application layer service that is concerned with the task of providing access to files, and facilities for transferring files between application processes.
(File Transfer, Access, and Management) The OSI standard developed by the ISO for network file exchange and management between network nodes.
ISO 8671 standard which plays a key role in integrated message handling as the vehicle for interchanges of EDI information between applications. FTAM controls the transfer of whole files or parts of files between end systems.
The Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) protocol for file transfer (the communication of an entire file between systems), access (remote access to one or more records in a file) and management (including the ability to create, delete and rename files). See OSI.
File Transfer, Access and Management/Manipulation. OSI-compatible protocol for distributed data management. A layer 7 Application Service Element intended to be used for creating, accessing, and moving large structured files between heterogeneous systems. The FTAM standard considers all data to have a generalized virtual filestore structure, consisting of named collections of hierarchically organized data. Included in SAA and supported in OSI/FS.

Case out Trnsfer Method Access. (Access method for Transference of Archives.)
Provides the capability to manipulate data files locally and at remote nodes.
File Transfer Access and Management. An application-level protocol governing file access.
File Transfer, Access, and Management. The OSI remote file service and protocol.
File Transfer, Access, and Management. In OSI, an application layer protocol developed for network file exchange and management between diverse types of computers.
File transfer, Access and Manipulation. An alternative file transfer protocol to FTP.
An ISO standard that describes how to create, delete, read, and change file attributes as well as transfer and access (at file or record level) files stored at remote sites. It is an application-layer protocol.
