Shining is a Swedish black metal band formed in 1996, that incorporate many doom metal elements in their music. Due to the depressive undertones of their music and the mostly suicide-themed lyrics, Shining are often referred to as "suicidal black metal".
Shining is a Norwegian band. It started as an experimental jazzband in 1999, but has now moved to somewhat Jazz/Metal/Progressive. Winner of the alarm award in 2006.
