an exaggeration or hyperbole of a claim, usually to elicit an emotional reaction. As in, online hype.
excessive and manufactured "buzz", sometimes to the extent of challenging the credibility of the information (and the source).
Misleading, unreasonable or unsubstantiated claims, such as 'Make $5000 in three days with just a $2 investment! Guaranteed income, no selling involved!'
