A very broad term to describe a mixture of more than one component. It may be a number of vitamins. Generally when discussing a complete ration, the premix will include all the vitamins, trace minerals, amino acids and other additives such as yeast that are in specific quantities and ratios for that particular ration for the particular specie. Some premixes will include the major minerals as well.
A uniform mixture of micro-ingredients combined with a dilutent and/or carrier to facilitate uniform dispersion of micro-ingredients in feeds.
