Definitions for "Sponsorships"
Sponsorship is the process of integrating an Advertisers messages with Web content on an exclusive basis. Examples of this are transitions Ads with "brought to you by" messages, consistent co-branding of a section of content with the Advertiser's icon "sponsored by …".
A more customised form of advertising incorporating heavy branding throughout a site or particular section of a site. There are a plethora of options to take when considering this form of marketing.
Sponsorships are available on all section fronts (i.e. Main, Sports, Classified, etc.) Sponsorships are sold on a first-come, first served basis. Advertisers receive the entire inventory of impressions, with a guaranteed minimum number depending on the section.
There are students within U of T who are sponsored by third-party organizations such as the United Nations or the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). These organizations take responsibility for paying some or all of a student's charges. The university bills these organizations for the student's fees.
Sponsorship support is linked to marketing efforts to benefit a company. In most cases, sponsorship is sought for conferences and special events that give corporations exposure to new audiences.

A public/community radio station can't just run ads (in any quantity) like a commercial station. Instead, they're limited to four minutes an hour of 'sponsorships'. While you CAN play 30 second ads like the ones on commercial radio, they MUST be tagged with "A Raw FM sponsor" or something similar.
