brass concern. Blasting involves brass players who play excessively loudly, which results in a very disgusting sounding tone. Trombones are especially prone (even more so when at FF or louder), and occaisionally baritones. Trumpets are the most audible when they do this, especially on the high notes. Avoid puffing out the cheeks, and recommend diaphraghmatic breathing for those who blast. If that doesn't work, tell then to breathe through their noses prior to that note.
