Digial Audio Extraction, also known as DAE or 'ripping', is a method of taking the digital data stream, or Red Book track, directly off an audio CD and writing it to a hard disk or CD-R/RW disc.

Disk Array Enclosure. Also known as the Dell PowerVault 630F Disk Array Enclosure storage system. The DAE is a JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disk) enclosure without a storage processor (SP). The DAE supports up to 10 Fibre Channel drives per enclosure and is connected by dual Fibre Channel loops into the DPE. The DPE and 11 DAEs support up to 120 disk modules in a single disk array storage system.
