Definitions for "Incident Action Plan"
Contains objectives reflecting the overall incident strategy and specific tactical actions and supporting information for the next operational period. The Plan may be oral or written. When written, the Plan may have a number of forms as attachments (e.g., traffic plan, safety plan, communications plan, map, etc.).
The strategy goals, tactical objectives, and support requirements for the incident. All incidents require an action plan. For simple incidents the action plan is usually not in written form. Large or complex incidents will require that the action plan be documented in writing.
An oral or written plan containing general objectives reflecting the overall strategy for managing an incident. It may include the identification of operational resources and assignments. It may also include attachments that provide direction and important information for management of the incident during one or more operational periods.
