Definitions for "I/O"
In/Out. An I/O error is more common than what most people think. It means that something didn't work when sending information in and out. With disks it usually means that the disk is corrupt, is full, or some other type of problem. It's most commonly experienced with floppies, where the floppy was starting to go bad. Sometimes a full format of the disk in question takes care of some of the I/O problems. Other times it's better to just replace the disk. JK

I/O is the title of a yet-to-be-released album by Peter Gabriel. It will be the follow-up to his latest studio album, the 2002 Up. There is no release date yet set, but Gabriel's statement that there would be a solo "product" being released each year should give hint that it could be possibly released in 2007, the earliest.
