There are many choices available to the educator. For example, class lecture (i.e., one-way communication), interactive lecture (i.e., tendency toward more two-way exchange of information), laboratory assignments, poster displays, multimedia presentations, printed materials (e.g., handouts, books, journals), small group sessions (e.g., discussion, problem-solving, problem-based learning), consultations (e.g., friends, family), and projects.
