Compulsory Basic Training
Any instructional program that can be accessed through a standalone or networked computer without drawing resources from the Web.
(Computer Based Training) Umbrella term used to describe all forms of training delivered through a computer.
Computer Based Training is an on-line learning application accessed over a local area network (LAN) or from a CD. When a CBT is accessed over the WEB, it is referred to as a web-based training or a WBT.
Abbreviation for computer-based training.
computer-based training; the use of a computer as a teaching machine to deliver instruction; also known as computer-assisted instruction (CAI) and computer-delivered instruction (CDI); as distinguished from computer-managed instruction (CMI), which is the use of a computer to enter, maintain, and evaluate records of performance and learning. CBT in recent years has become supplanted by web-based training (WBT), and CBT now generally refers to off-line, stand-alone instruction delivered by computer; see WBT.
Computer-based training-instruction primarily delivered by computer, with a more complicated branching program of remediation and answering. (See Hypertext media).
An umbrella term for the use of computers in both instruction and management of the teaching and learning process. CAI (computer-assisted instruction) and CMI (computer-managed instruction) are included under the heading of CBT. Some people use the terms CBT and CAI interchangeably.
Computer-Based Training; a type of training in which a student learns a particular application by using special programs on a computer. Sometimes referred to as "CAI" (Computer-Assisted Instruction) or "CBI" (Computer-Based Instruction), although these two terms may also be used to describe a computer program used to assist a teacher or trainer in classroom instruction.
competency based training.
(Computer-Based Training) A form of training that is served over a computer rather than in a classroom, which a trainee can access online or on an Intranet and thus can proceed at her own pace. Usually includes interactive features such as quizzes with feedback.
See Computer-based Training.
Computer Based Training. Uses a computer to present and control the sequence of instructional information..
Computer-based training (CBT) uses a computer for training and instruction.
Training conducted using a computer, specifically referring to training presented while a computer is not connected to a network. CBT is a form of e-learning.
Using the computer for training and instruction. CBT programs (courseware) provide interactive training sessions. CBT programs can include specially developed tutorials, drill and practice, simulations and testing. See also WBT (Web-Based Training).
Acronym for computer-based training. The use of computers and specially developed tutorial programs for teaching. CBT uses color, graphics, and other attention-getting aids to help maintain interest, and it has both simple and sophisticated applications. A software developer, for example, might include a series of CBT lessons with an application to give new users a hands-on feel for the program; a consultant might use a longer and more detailed CBT program as a tool in a management-training seminar.
Computer-Based Training, an interactive instructional experience in which an individual learns by computer-delivered means, such as CD-ROM or the World Wide Web.
(Computer Based Training) Linear training events distributed on a CD or DVD
Computer-Based Training. A self-training system for software and programming. CC Campus Computing Cooperative. IT consortium run by and consisting of a representative from each academic school or division at UCLA.
Acronym for computer-based training, a type of education in which the student learns by executing special training programs on a computer. CBT is especially effective for training people to use computer applications because the CBT program can be integrated with the applications so that students can practice using the application as they learn.
( Computer Based Training) Training delivered via computer.
Computer Based Training – an Interactive Training CD that will assist agencies in quickly and efficiently training new personnel, as well as instructing existing users on how to use the system to increase productivity. Training conducted using a computer, often used when referring to education or training presented while a computer is not connected to a network.
Computer Based Training. Training or instruction where a computer program provides motivation and feedback in place on a live instructor. CBT can be delivered via CD-ROM, LAN or Internet. Creation is done by teams of people including instructional designers, and often has high development costs.
Computer-based training; students interact with a screen, mouse and keyboard instead of WITH an instructor.
Computer-Based Training ( CBT) is training which is delivered via a computer. Computer-based training includes tutorials, drill and practice, simulations and testing. Also see ILT.
