Plastic Leaded Chip Carrier. Can have 18 to 100 pins. Each lead is J-shaped and protruding from the chip carrier package. PLCC packages can be socketed or surface-mounted onto a PC board. When a leadless chip carrier mounts with substrate clips, it becomes a leaded type B package.
