MAGNETIC RESONANCE ANGIOGRAPHY. A non-invasive study which is conducted in a Magnetic Resonance Imager (MRI). The magnetic images are assembled by a computer to provide an image of the arteries in the head and neck. No contrast material is needed, but some patients may experience claustrophobia in the imager.

Agreements that generally allow conformity assessment — for example, testing, inspecting, certifying — of manufactured goods to be performed in the United States to another country's standards and regulations, and vice versa. An MRA can save manufacturers time and expense by avoiding excessive assessments. It also conserves U.S. regulatory agencies' resources. The United States maintains its current high health and safety standards and can adopt even higher standards without in any way violating an MRA.
Minimum Retirement Age. The earliest age at which a FERS employee may retire voluntarily or elect to receive benefits if separated from Federal service after at least 10 years of service. The MRA varies according to the year in which the employee was born. For anyone born before 1948, the MRA is 55. It increases gradually to 57 for those born later. The benefits of an employee who has less than 30 years of service (or who is not age 60 with 20 years of service) are reduced it he/she elects to receive them at the MRA.
