The trace gases include argon, neon, helium, krypton and xenon; hydrogen; and the greenhouse gases. The water vapour content of air can also be significant, but is highly variable with time and from one region to the next. In some locations it can be virtually absent, while in others it can represent a few percent of air volume. Most air is found in the lowest 10 kilometres of the atmosphere.
