Keywords:  jackpot, poisson, royal, flush, poker
The mathematical probability of getting any paying hand over a period of time. For example, a Royal Flush in Jacks or Better 9/6 full pay should occur once every 40,390.55 hands.Remembering that the games are random, it is possible to achieve no royals in one cycle and two on the next. The Poisson Distribution tells us that there is only a 63.2% probability of at least one royal flush in one cycle, but this is balanced by the chances of two or more royals in one cycle.
a video Poker term, means the rate between the dealt hands and the hand that "hit the jackpot" (mostly - royals flush)
The statistically predicted average number of hands per royal flush (or other top jackpot). In other words, a "cycle" is simply the reciprocal of the probability of a royal on the next hand. Remember that the games are random, however, so don't expect to get exactly one royal flush per "cycle." The Poisson Distribution tells us that there is only a 63.2% probability of at least one royal in one cycle, but this balanced by the chances of two or more royals in one cycle.

There are many cycles in the environment and the basic one involves green plants producing oxygen and sugar from carbon dioxide and water during photosynthesis. Animals use the nutrition in plants by eating plants or other animals. In the cells of plants and animals, cell respiration transforms the sugar and oxygen into energy, carbon dioxide and water. The cycle ends when the plants absorb the carbon dioxide and water again. In a cycle, all the residual products from a process are used again and no useless waste is left. To create cycles in industrial processes, residual products have to be re-used so that no waste is produced.
(fuel...): all the different stages in the life of a fissile fuel, from ore extraction to fabrication (front-end), to the possible (re)processing of spent fuel and waste disposal (back end) after use in the reactor.
